What SAT Score Calculator does
The calculator accepts correct-answer counts for Reading and Writing and Math modules, then shows estimated section scores and a total score range. It also lets you identify the Module 2 route when a practice report provides that detail, or keep the route unknown for a wider estimate.
The page is designed for quick practice review. Its purpose is to help you notice section balance, compare practice attempts, and choose a sensible next study step.
Why the result is a range
Digital SAT scoring is adaptive and scaled. A raw correct-answer count does not provide every detail used for an official score report, so a transparent range is more responsible than a made-up exact number.
Our estimate is a planning aid. It is not a score report, admissions prediction, scholarship determination, or substitute for information from College Board or a college.
How we approach the experience
- Keep the calculator usable without an account or sign-up.
- Explain inputs, limits, route assumptions, and uncertainty in plain language.
- Keep the core score calculation in the browser so the entered module counts are not submitted to a calculator server.
- Prefer practical practice guidance over false precision or guaranteed outcomes.
What the tool cannot know
The calculator does not see the exact questions, item characteristics, unscored content, response pattern, test-day conditions, or official scoring record behind a College Board result. Its calibration table is a versioned estimate and may be refined as the site develops.
